About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Relationship Support Specialist to support our Middle Market Commercial Banking team. This role is for a vacancy in either of our Vancouver or Calgary office.
Middle Market Banking provides local service and decision-making, a comprehensive suite of products, and industry expertise to serve the diverse financial needs of Business Banking, Middle Market, Specialized and Mid-Corporate customers. Middle Market Banking is structured with three regions, East, Central and West, in addition to two Specialized Industries groups. The Commercial Banking team is comprised of experienced and accomplished relationship managers and industry specialists working together to bring the full range of Wells Fargo’s service to customers from offices across the United States and Canada.
In this role, you will:
Be accountable for a complex portfolio of customers
Share leadership role with managers to oversee a portfolio of accounts
Identify opportunity for process improvements within the portfolio
Review and analyze the decision process for customer accounts and evaluate the profitability and risk of designated portfolio
Verify compliance and report identified issues for resolution
Make decisions on complex customer issues
Partner with managers to resolve issues and provides status updates on implementations
Develop expertise in the policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Handle complex customer issues which include escalation and resolution
Lead team and serve as a subject matter expert for the department
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Receive direction from leaders
Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Business Relationship Support experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or equivalent
Experience in business relationship or client support role in commerical banking
Job Expectations:
Independently and proactively handles customer issues, monitors overdrafts, confirms additional source of funds and partners with office management in decision making process; evaluates profitability and risk of designated portfolio; provides alternative pricing structure.
Monitors accounts/portfolios/loan bookings to assure compliance with regulatory and company requirements; communicates regulatory and company requirements, tracks compliance and reports/escalates identified issues for resolution.
Helps with customer onboarding, due diligence and other associated risk management matters where required.
Acts as the customers main point of contact for operational questions.
Manages "owning the customer experience" approach and effectively executes on all standard protocols regarding interactions with customers.
Conducts customer courtesy calls, by phone and in-person, to build relationships and identify cross-sell opportunities.
This position offers a hybrid work scheduled but must be able to work on-site at the listed location for the designated in-office days.

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
