**Investment Management Operations - Business Project Sr. Manager** **Position Summary:** The Business Project Manager is responsible for will play a key role in CIM’s multi-year infrastructure upgrade project. This project is designed to implement foundational technology and business process upgrades necessary for long-term AUM growth: modern data management and warehousing, upgraded accounting systems, improved banking and reporting capabilities, new solutions for managing derivatives, pricing and total return, and improved operational processes that support the execution of Cigna's investment strategy while enhancing operational effectiveness to meet business growth. The role plays a key role as part of the CIM Transformational Roadmap. The primary focus of the heavy execution-based role is project work in the form of assisting project teams to complete business requirements, project plans, impact assessments and ongoing planning and analysis work. Project tracker management and understanding the broader end to end focus of inputs and outputs to and from E2E CIM perspective. The Project Manager will be engaging stakeholders, mapping processes, identifying inefficiencies and applying methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma. **Job Description & Responsibilities** **:** The Business Project Manager works with the other team members under the PMO construct and key stakeholder partners will be Finance, Accounting, IT partners, the CIM Business and External Vendors. + Work closely with Vendor(s), consultants and internal and external IT teams on project implementation + Assist with development of presentations and materials to communicate project goals, status and critical issues to stakeholders including governance committees, project participants, the broader CIM team and senior and executive management + Project Plan management and project activity tracker support + Assist with coordination and development of PI planning + Develops and maintains knowledge of CIM’s investment and operational functions, structure and business practices + Collaborate with Workstream Lead(s) to support requirements identification, documentation and communication to technical partners. + Support design conversations to support technical and functional requirements. + Support review of functional design and technical design documentation as needed + Support the identification of testing scenarios and correlated test scripts. + Support the generation of training materials with the use of content creation technologies + Provide support as an early tester of capabilities + Engage with stakeholders to support requirements gathering and understanding. + Support driving project deliverables on time, on budget with quality results + Continuous improvement in the identification of opportunities for process improvement or process enhancements in day-to-day execution **Competencies / Skills:** + Ability to review deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards. + Ability to deal with organizational politics includes ability to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively. + Strong Influencing skills (sound business and technical acumen as well as skilled at achieving buy-in for delivery strategies) + Stakeholder management (setting and managing expectations) + Strong business acumen including ability to effectively articulate business objectives. + Analytical skills, Highly Focused, Team player, Versatile, Resourceful + Ability to learn and apply quickly including ability to effectively impart knowledge to others. + Effective under pressure + Precise communication skills, including an ability to project clarity and precision in verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills. + Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills + Project Management + Requirements gathering + User interaction / customer service + Reporting and Dashboards + Ability to be flexible with job responsibilities and workflow changes. + Ability to identify process improvements and implement changes; outside thinker. **Experience Required:** Qualified candidates will typically have 13 + years of project delivery experience within finance, accounting or investment banking. Experience includes planning, design development and documentation, status tracking, testing, and collaboration with technical partners for delivery.
