The Business Process Analyst provides business analysis and continuous process improvement support for strategic and operational initiatives across the organization. The analyst will be part of a process excellence team charged with evaluating and optimizing key business processes. As such, this role will partner with cross functional stakeholders to document current business processes, identify gaps and opportunities, recommend process improvement actions, and implement changes. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Evaluating existing business processes. 2. Determining and outlining business process improvements. 3. Coordinating business process improvement strategies with internal stakeholders. 4. Overseeing all aspects related to the implementation stages of business process improvement 5. initiatives. 6. Analyzing and monitoring implemented changes to business processes 7. Performing ongoing analyses on business processes related to productivity, quality, costs, and time management. 8. Presenting progress reports and integrating feedback. 9. Revising and updating procedures and policies. 10. Acting as an intermediary between management teams, IT professionals, and executive decision makers and help the business executives to take appropriate decisions to ensure alignment with the key objectives and goals. 11. Apply the principles of Lean Six Sigma (Waste and Variation Reduction) 12. Drive measurable improvements in Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Customer Satisfaction 13. Facilitate training sessions in Lean, Six Sigma, and related problem-solving methods. 14. Collect information regarding ineffective or inefficient processes from stakeholders and other relevant personnel. 15. Collaborate with management to create new processes and document them for future use. 16. Interpret business metrics for management. 17. Ability to strategize with stakeholders on ideas to improve business processes. Department Requirements We are looking for a strategic problem solver with an industrial engineering mindset — someone who thrives on bringing clarity to complexity and turning process challenges into opportunities for improvement. The ideal candidate is motivated by making sense out of chaos, skilled at uncovering root causes, and driven to design and implement smarter, more efficient workflows. They are fluent in process tools and data-driven methods like Lean and Six Sigma, comfortable communicating across levels of the organization, and able to translate insights into meaningful, sustainable change. CORE QUALIFICATIONS Education:Bachelor’s degree in relevant field requiredExperience: 2+ years’ experience in business process management in a similar role and related industry applying the elements of lean, six sigma, and/or operational excellence. Proficiency in business management software Strong facilitation, collaboration, and communication skills. Strong recordkeeping, time management, and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience and track record for analyzing and improving processes through the implementation of lean and/or related process improvement methods. Strong project management, process mapping skills required. Experience mentoring and teaching others. Energetic and positive enthusiastic disposition •Experience within Academia and/or Healthcare industry is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: • Proficiency in computer software (i.e., Microsoft Office including Visio) • Prior experience within Higher Education, Healthcare, and/or Finance is desirable. • Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions. • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with diligence. • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines. • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment. • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. • Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
