We are seeking a passionate Operating Manager to drive the development and operations of our new equity compensation business. As a key member of JPMorgan Workplace Solutions Japan, you will report directly to the Head of Japan, Workplace Solutions, and play a crucial role in business development and operations. Collaborate globally across the US, EMEA, and APAC, and lead new business initiatives requiring regulatory licensing in Japan.
Job Summary:
As a Business Manager in JPMorgan Workplace Solutions Japan, you will be a pivotal member in building and managing a new equity compensation solution business, requiring registration with the Japan Financial Services Agency (JFSA). Post-launch, you will lead daily operations, manage onsite responsibilities, enhance internal controls, and promote key processes like Change Control Meetings and New Business Initiative Assessments. You will foster collaborative partnerships across functions such as Compliance, Legal, Operations, Technology, and Internal Audit.
Job Responsibilities:
Build and manage a new equity compensation solution business, requiring JFSA registration.Serve as the primary onsite liaison for internal and external partners.Lead daily operations and manage the regulated entity's functionality and compliance.Assume onsite management responsibilities, collaborating with internal partners.Enhance internal controls to meet regulatory requirements.Drive key processes in strategic changes and new initiatives.Foster collaborative partnerships and a culture of respectful communication.Adapt to changes in assignment as dictated by business strategy and/or priority.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Bachelor's degree or higherAt least 10 years of experience in financial institutions or regulators in Japan.Expertise in financial regulations, particularly retail securities brokerage.Understanding of JGAAP and local financial reporting requirements.Exceptional communication skills in Japanese (native) and English (business level).Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Strong analytical skills and proactive team collaboration.Proven change leadership in a matrix organization.Detail-oriented with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
JSDA’s Securities Sales Representative 1 or 2.Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).JSDA’s Securities Sales Representative qualification is highly desirable.
