Technology Business Operations Introduction
Business Operations Management (BOM) helps our Platform & Technology partners achieve operational and strategic excellence, specializing in the following areas: Financial & performance management, portfolio & investment management, resource management, operational risk management, and employee and colleague communications and engagement. In managing the "business of platforms and technology", the BOM team is committed to achieving excellence through the standardization and continuous improvement of its services and prides itself in being a highly collaborative and cross-functional group of professionals.
The teams supported by the BOM are part of TD's Corporate Platforms, which bring Business and Technology capabilities together to provide safe and secure platforms to our customers as they interact through shopping, buying, and servicing experiences across all channels. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Plan, lead, manage and oversee a diverse set of operational activities related to Financial Management and Financial planning including the management of the approval process for your area.Consolidate and reconcile GL and Clarity actuals and forecast; leveraging strong excel skills, analyze the data and build a monthly executive finance package.Create and produce Dashboards and Scorecards. Work with Platform teams to update rolling forecasts and monitor performance against plan.Lead the monthly and quarterly financial budgeting and planning processes. Coordinate with the Finance partners and Platform leadership team to gather data, consolidate forecasts and build budgets in a timely manner.Present monthly consolidated financial results. Identify gaps, pinpoint issues, identify productivity opportunities, know the trends, and provide specialized business management & financial advice to senior leadership and business partner teams.Oversee, lead, manage and plan a diverse set of work activities involving the development and implementation of policies, processes, procedures, changes across multiple functional areas, including Resource Management and Financial planning.Facilitate key discussions and provide thought leadership to executive audience.Own and drive relevant governance meetings related deliverables and outcomes.Build strong partnerships with Technology business partners and other Finance teams.Work effectively with multiple teams across a broad spectrum of initiatives and functional domains, influencing and aligning others as needed.Identify and understand challenges within the businesses and make value-added financial recommendations where appropriate.Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities with a desire to provide coaching and career direction to team members.Enhance activities and implement effective and innovative solutions, including automation, where there is an opportunity to gain efficiencies through process improvement.Act as subject matter expert for own area and provide guidance/ advice and recommendations to support interactions with internal / external partners.Keep focus on process simplification and automation of reporting. Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business or have relevant experience7+ years relevant experienceExperience in P&L reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost allocation.Expertise in Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint, Clarity PPM, Jira, MS SharePoint,Understanding of New Evolution of Work (NEW) TDSA operating framework and key cadencesSuperior presentation and communication skills – be a confident, transparent and concise communicator (verbal and written)Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationshipsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsWho We Are:
