Who You Will Work With:
Reporting to the T&O Business Management, Lead, the Technology Business Management Intern will work cross functionally with the Technology and Finance teams to provide insights and recommendations that will be implemented to deliver real solutions and support with our technology investments – this is an ideal role for someone who loves technology, data and coming up with creative solutions!
What You Will Do:
Participating in ad-hoc data gathering, financial/IT analysis and activity-based cost modeling
Writing business cases and return on investment justifications for technology investments
Managing technology-based project by providing updates to stakeholders/governing teams but helping them understand financial and technology impacts
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
Support budgeting and planning processes for technology initiatives and projects
Partnering with key stakeholders to analyze, prepare and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and results and provide insights/recommendations to drive business decisions
Implementing business solutions in collaboration with the T&O and Finance Teams and stakeholders
Providing workshop facilitation and support
Work closely with Technology teams to understand business needs and requirements and assist in the development of new services and pricing models.
What You Bring:
Currently completing an undergraduate degree from a creditable Canadian institution with a focus on Business, Finance, Business Technology Management (BTM), Accounting, Economics or other related majors
An appreciation for Information Technology and Business – you actively enjoy reading news, listening to podcasts, anything to stay up to date with the latest developments and trends
A self-starter mindset with a drive for continuous learning – you have a natural ability to pick up new technology you enjoy solving problems while learning about new tools, technology, applications and how they work
You’re highly adaptable and comfortable with the unknown – you can act independently and collaborate in a team through ambiguity
You are a proactive problem-solver with a demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives – you get into new topics quickly, enjoy learning the fundamentals and leverage it to achieve the best outcomes with cross-functional teams
Understanding that success is in the details. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making
Communication skills, both verbal and written, with a proven ability to listen actively, articulate ideas clearly, and convey information effectively. You are competent writing professionally
Considerable experience in data visualization generating reports, reviewing data, developing online tools, user guides, resources and templates
The ability to give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems and making sense of information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
Although not required, you have some familiarity or previous experience with the following:

The hourly pay range for this position is $21 to $23, and the internship term runs from May to August 2026. The exact amount will depend on factors such as skills, experience, and job-related knowledge. An internship opportunity at Interac also features:
