Business Intelligence Engineer, Selling Partner Insights and Analytics
Description We are seeking an exceptional Business Intelligence Engineer to drive data-informed decision-making across our organization. This role combines technical expertise with business acumen to transform complex data into actionable insights, with a specific focus on Seller Performance Support metrics and experiences. Key job responsibilities 1. Become Subject Matter Expert of SP Support experience metrics. 2. Continuously monitor data quality and optimize data flows to ensure efficient and reliable data delivery. 3. Create effective visualizations and dashboards that tell a compelling story and provide recommendations for new business initiatives. 4. Conduct driver analysis and develop time series models to forecast trends in metrics. 5. Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover opportunities, providing written recommendations. 6. Measure initiatives for Seller Experience through A/B testing or non-causal analysis methods. 7. Utilize advanced SQL/Python skills for business decision-support analysis. 8. Collaborate with Product Managers and the Science team to ensure alignment between Insight and Science used. 9. Provide training and support to business users, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of BI solutions. 10. Communicate data clearly and concisely, adjusting your style for different audiences to address complex financial issues effectively. About the team Selling Partner Insights and Analytics team vision is to provide data and insights to accelerate stakeholder's data-driven decisions, enabling continuous improvement of the Selling Partner experience. Our mission aligns with this vision by making it easier and faster for our internal customers to use analytics to swiftly transform data into actionable insights. This team supports all programs where the data/analysis is needed for program teams, Operations and stakeholders from the broader Selling Partner Support team. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines - Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab - Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling Preferred Qualifications - Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift - Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
