Business Financial Officer
**POSITION OVERVIEW** This roles serves as the Business Financial Officer (BFO) for Verity Solutions; overseeing all finance related functions including underwriting, accounting operations, forecasting and planning, audit and SOX controls, treasury and cash management functions, and preparing financial statement reports. The BFO is a strategic advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team with developing strategic and operating plans in order to achieve the company’s growth and profit plans. The BFO guides the organization on all financial matters, and partners with all business areas to drive growth for the organization. The BFO will support and interact with the company’s customers, and leads a team of accounting and finance professionals, who process complex financial transactions involving invoicing and cash collections from pharmacy partners followed by cash disbursements to hospital customers. This role will also support the capacity/resource planning, financial modeling, identifying risks and opportunities, KPI tracking, multi-year planning, and variance analysis. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** + Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team for strategic planning purposes. + Lead, retain, and develop a strong accounting and finance team to support Verity Solutions. + Partner with Sr Leadership to develop strategies to retain and grow customers and market share. + Oversee all sides of accounting operations, including AR, AP, general ledger activities, payroll, and reconciliations. + Maintain strong systems and controls to safeguard corporate assets and ensure corporate policies are being followed. + Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements. + Lead and manage the budget, forecast FP&A processes. + Work with business leaders to further identify, report, and analyze operational KPI’s that drive financial results. + Gather financial data for analysis and forecasting with respect to profits, trends, costs, and compliance. + Develop and drive actionable reporting, financial insights, and recommendations involving risks and opportunities. + Manage commission plans and payouts for sales team. + Primary point of contact on financial statement audits and responsible for coordination and progress of the audits. + Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality. + Develop appropriate tracking methods for revenue and expenses. + Partner with business leaders to help develop cost-benefit analysis for new projects and initiatives. **QUALIFICATIONS** **Education** **:** **Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred** **MBA strongly desired** **Experience** **:** **Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience** **At least 8 years of progressive management and leadership experience** **Prior experience working with or within 340B organizations strongly preferred** **Background in healthcare and/or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments is ideal** **Certifications** **:** **CPA license preferred but not required** **Leadership & Analytical Skills** **:** **Proven ability to lead, manage, and mentor large teams** **Highly analytical with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into strategic insights and actionable business recommendations** **Communication & Influence** **:** **Skilled in managing conflict and influencing stakeholders across various levels** **Comfortable delivering presentations and communicating complex concepts to executive audiences and individuals with varying levels of subject matter expertise** **Personal Attributes** **:** **Entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of curiosity and initiative** **Travel** **:** **Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% as needed** **Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment** If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 165,800 - 276,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
