Business Execution Manager - Affluent Licensing & Readiness

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Manager to join the Affluent/Premier Banking group within Consumer Banking and Lending. This role is responsible for leading a high-performing team of licensing consultants and business execution consultants who oversee end-to-end banker licensing processes and manage the Financial Advisor Candidate Readiness program. Aligned to the Affluent/Premier line of business, this position plays a critical role in supporting one of Wells Fargo’s most important growth segments by ensuring regulatory readiness, operational excellence, and a strong pipeline of licensed banking and advisory talent.

Wells Fargo’s National Branch Network strategy includes equipping Premier and Relationship Bankers with securities and insurance licenses to support collaboration with Wells Fargo Advisors. Timely execution of the licensing process enables bankers to fully perform their roles soon after selection. This population also represents a strong pipeline for future Financial Advisors, supported by a readiness program led by this team to build awareness of the role and prepare candidates for potential transition.

In this role, you will:

Lead and provide day-to-day oversight of the Affluent Licensing team, supporting the onboarding and licensing of approximately 2,000 newly hired licensed bankers annually

Ensure timely and accurate execution of all licensing-related activities, including preregistration, recruiting, registration, training, and vendor workflows, to accelerate banker readiness and customer-facing productivity

Oversee and continuously enhance the Financial Advisor Candidate Readiness program, including enrollment, curriculum, compliance, and pipeline management to deliver qualified candidates for Financial Advisor roles

Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to sustain strong licensing exam pass rates and improve performance across all required exams

Review and approve Affluent and Customers First content related to licensing and Financial Advisor Candidate Readiness to ensure quality, consistency, and strategic alignment

Deliver reporting, insights, and tools to leaders across the National Branch Network and Affluent/Premier organizations to support visibility, informed decision-making, and execution

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies, including oversight of U4/U5 processes, vendor management, continuing education requirements, issue resolution, and coordination with Learning & Development, Compliance, Recruiting, and other key partners


Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

2+ years Leadership experience


Desired Qualifications:

Strongly preferred to have Securities Licenses Series 6 or 7 and Series 9/10 (Securities Supervisory License)

Demonstrated business process and execution leadership, ensuring alignment across all organizational levels with established vision, strategy, and objectives

Proven ability to achieve complex objectives requiring strong engagement, influence, and collaboration within a highly matrixed environment

Strong problem-solving capabilities, including identifying root causes, evaluating improvement opportunities, and designing effective solutions or programs to address business challenges

Ability to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important


Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 15%

Registration for Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date.

Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. FINRA Series 7 examinations, or equivalent must be completed within either a 90 or 180-day time period following commencement of employment, depending upon the number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance. Compliance with state law registration and licensing requirements is mandatory. In addition to state registration and licensing requirements, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards. Wells Fargo will initiate the FINRA licensing review process at the time of offer acceptance. For specific FINRA qualification exams obtained after 9/30/2018, the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam co-requisite is required.
