Job Description

GDIT is seeking a Business Development Senior Director for the National Intelligence Sector (NIS) to lead the identification, qualification, and pursuit of new business opportunities within the Intelligence Community. The qualified candidate will drive business development and growth strategy and actions in support of the NIS business team. This candidate will lead the identification, qualification, and pursuit of new business and recompete opportunities. The successful candidate will leverage market experience and knowledge to develop customer-focused campaigns, create and execute customer and partner engagement plans, and provide thought leadership in the marketplace leading to the development and execution of GDIT go-to-market account plans.

HOW A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Provide business development leadership for Intelligence Community accountsProvide critical leadership across the new business capture lifecycle – including opportunity identification, customer engagement, qualification, win and capture strategy development, and proposals through awardWork as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, formulate, communicate and implement an integrated business development and capture strategy that provides customers with clear and defensible justification for selecting GDIT for the awardDevelop, lead, and implement campaign or market plans and strategies, maintain a firm comprehension of the customer's requirements, and understand the strengths/weaknesses of our position and of our competitorsEstablish value-added teaming strategies based on gap analysis to improve PWIN and to create a profitable return at a winning bid price enabling a reasonable marginAnalyze markets for company products and services and recommend strategies to achieve marketing/business development goalsPerform business development functions including networking, research, tracking opportunities, and communicating updates with stakeholders to increase business branding, opportunities, and growthMeet with current and potential clients to ascertain their requirements and apprise them of company capabilitiesCollaborate, coordinate, and exchange information and leads with line managers and other personnelDevelop market survey responses, proposals, solutions, plans of action, business plans, and marketing materials and ensure sufficient resources are applied to achieve milestones of opportunities within the business areasSupport, create, and present new business, pursuit, status updates, and business area pipeline reviews as well as other material for communication of opportunities and pipeline status with business leadership and stakeholdersMaintain current knowledge of relevant technologies in order to successfully meet client requirementsSupport the Growth team in managing and tracking status of NDAs/TAs, subcontract relationships, end-to-end growth team activities, and opportunities for strategic captures within the NIS Sector as needed


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
● Education: Bachelor's degree
● Required Experience: 15+ years of Intelligence Community experience with 7+ years of business development-related experience in the Intelligence Community markets with a demonstrable track record of engagement and success
● Required Skills and Abilities:

Highly collaborative leader who can effectively build and lead teams and also contribute effectively as a team member or individual contributorSuccessful track record advancing new business development strategies and information technology solutions through development and execution of plansProven ability to build relationships and lead through influence at all levels of the organizationExceptional communication and presentation skills (to include prior experience in briefing senior leadership)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel and PowerPointProven track record of identifying and closing on new business opportunities in relevant markets (providing a non-proprietary deal sheet would be helpful)

● Security Clearance Level: Active TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph required

● US Citizenship Required

● Location: Hybrid, Primary office is located in Herndon, VA. Local travel to customer and industry locations is expected and some travel outside of the area

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

● Government experience within the Intelligence Community

● Experience working with OTA's, BAA's and rapid acquisition

● Proven program, contract, P&L or business leadership resulting in engaged teams, new business growth, and profitable and sustainable long-term business success
