We are seeking an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth in the molecular diagnostics testing sector. This role is integral to expanding our Laboratory Management services for Physician Owned Labs (POLs). The ideal candidate possesses a robust sales acumen, deep industry insight, and a well-established network within the target markets. Remote role; anywhere in Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, or Texas
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets. Engage with clients directly, including practice-to-practice calls, to nurture potential sales opportunities. Develop and implement strategic sales plans aimed at increasing market share in podiatry, dermatology, women’s health, and other specialty practices. Utilize existing industry connections to generate leads and convert them into long-term partnerships. Conduct thorough research on prospective clients and decision-makers to tailor sales approaches. Build and maintain a network of referral sources for sustainable lead development through various sales techniques. Maintain strong relationships with current customers, investors, and partners through consistent follow-up and communication. Educate and inform clients about product lines using persuasive sales pitches and detailed product information. Participate in team meetings and conference calls to align with technical staff and potential customers. Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure client expectations are met through the generated Statement of Work. Work closely with the technical team to ensure high-quality service delivery and address technical issues promptly.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field. At least 6 years of proven success in outbound sales, particularly with specialty physician practices, preferably in molecular diagnostics or infectious disease testing.Preferred Qualifications:
Established relationships with specialty physician practices Familiarity with the clinical laboratory industry is advantageous. Understanding of molecular diagnostics and infectious disease testing is preferred. Experience in developing new segments or territories is essential. Proficiency in generating new business and managing a sales pipeline.Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary ranging from $60,000 to $90,000, with an uncapped commission plan (expectation of 2-4x base at full ramp-up).
