Business Development Leadership Development Program Associate

The Ameriprise Financial Business Development - Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a 24-month rotational experience designed to help recent graduates build leadership skills, gain hands-on business experience, and explore career paths in financial services.
 
Through three 8-month rotations, you’ll work on real projects that impact the business, connect with senior leaders, and receive mentorship and training to support your growth. At the end of the program, you’ll be well-positioned to apply for a full-time role within Ameriprise’s business development organizations.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may vary based on current rotation and assigned project(s), and typically include:

Supporting sales initiatives by assisting with advisor outreach, lead generation, and follow-up activities

Collaborating with team members to improve sales processes and enhance the overall advisor experience

Conducting basic data analysis to identify sales trends and opportunities for growth

Helping troubleshoot advisor issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution

Contributing to reporting efforts, tracking performance metrics and preparing summaries for leadership

Required Qualifications

Current Senior at a 4-year university pursing a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, or related field

Graduation date of December 2025 or May/June 2026

Demonstrated leadership experience

Commitment to complete the full 24-month Leadership Development Program

Preferred Qualifications

Strong self-motivation and a results-driven mindset, with a commitment to ethical sales practices

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple advisor interactions and priorities

Clear and confident communication skills—written, verbal, and presentation

Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with leadership to support sales goals and advisor needs

Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite to track leads, prepare presentations, and analyze sales data

Base Pay Salary

Base Salary Range The estimated base salary for this role is $64,000.00. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role. We also have a competitive and comprehensive benefits program that supports all aspects of your health and well-being, including but not limited to vacation time, sick time, 401(k), and health, dental and life insurances.
