Business Development Director/Manager, North Asia (Data Center Solutions) Job ID 233340 Posted 14-Aug-2025 Service line GWS Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Data Centers, Sales/Brokerage Location(s) Hong Kong - Hong Kong **What's In It For You?** + You'll work in a dynamic and international team with autonomy to craft your very own business development career in the fast growing data center sector + Extremely competitive compensation (above market level base salary + uncapped sales commissions) and benefits + Resourceful company providing all sorts of support for daily BD activities from bid/sales support professionals, legal/commercial and procurement SMEs to advanced technologies/tools **What You’ll Do:** + Manage the CBRE data center portfolio in North Asia (Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, Korea) and support the continuous business growth through advocating our ONE DCS solution to hyperscalers, DC operators, and enterprises + Serve as the regional lead and oversee the creation of proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials during RFP/RFI stages with the support from bid and sales support team. + Extensive stakeholders communications (internally, externally, locally and regionally) with BU leaders, operations, commercial/legal, finance, procurement, talent SMEs for bid/proposals development + Manage price modeling, operating budgets, staffing models, and labor costs for the business. + Participate in high-profile client-facing meetings for cultivation and business development efforts. + Organize client meetings for large or high-profile pursuits. Ensure relevant information is shared and proper business development processes are conducted. + Evaluate industry trends, review performance, and respond with necessary business changes. Manage and govern sales activity throughout the sales process. + Prepare and manage business marketing and business development budgets. + Establish an understanding of each service line, platform, and value proposition. Write executive summaries and key themes for major pursuits. + Track and complete financial and operational goals outlined for the client. + Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own discipline, and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans. + Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity. + Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department. + Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within job discipline. + (For BD Director level) Provide formal supervision to employees. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. + (For BD Director level) Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. **What You’ll Need:** + Bachelor's Degree holder with at least 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in business development and bid/proposal management gained from similar industry (real estate consultancy / facilities management). Knowledge in data centers preferred but not a must. + Highly proficient in business level English and Chinese (both written and verbal) + Ability to lead regional external/internal meetings with a resilient, positive and proactive mindset + Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and come up with strategic solutions + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset. + (For BD Director level) Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred. + (For BD Director level) Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations and handle problems. + (For BD Director level) Leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job discipline, multiple job disciplines, and department.
