The Business Coordinator III, under general supervision, provides support and coordination of a variety of business activities requiring independent judgment, including reviewing business documents, and assisting in the development, monitoring, and reporting for accounts and budget data with limited supervision.
Essential Duties/Tasks:
Business and Compliance Support
+ Responsible for processing all account payables for dedicated AgriLife units
+ Responsible for processing cash management activities
+ Maintain electronic account files for verification, vouchers, and miscellaneous reports
+ Reviews, allocates, and manages purchasing processes while analyzing account activity
+ Enters, reviews, and approves complex travel expense reports
+ Reviews/approves commodity codes to requisition and invoices
+ Reviews documents for accuracy, proper coding, compliance, and approval as directed
+ Assist with complex reports
+ Reviews financial transactions for compliance
Leadership
+ Responsible for communicating policies and procedures to assigned unit/department(s)
+ Research policies, practices, and atypical transactions and makes recommendations
+ Manages problem-solving for budgeting, tracking, and payment issues of financial services
Training/Support
+ May mentor or train other staff members
Unit Support
+ Serves as key contact with assigned departments to ensure relevant and timely response to customers’ finance and business needs
+ Assists in communicating with departments to resolve day-to-day processing challenges/issues that may arise
+ Advises customers on purchasing guidelines, contract process, and status of accounts
+ Maintains a strong working knowledge of AgriLife and TAMU Purchasing and Travel Guidelines to ensure transaction compliance. Reviews monthly account reconciliations and analyzes transactions to identify and resolve any errors
+ Provides courteous, efficient, and timely customer service to the units assigned
+ Serves as back-up to other UBS Coordinators
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ Four years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
+ Interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Planning and organizational skills.
+ Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Salary: Pay grade 10. Compensation for this position is commensurate based on the selected candidate’s qualifications.
Flexible Work Arrangements: Flexible work schedule and partially remote work may be available for this position, pending employee eligibility requirements are met in accordance with AgriLife Alternate Work Location Procedures. Full-time remote work is not available for this position.
