Business Application Analyst – Alterra Patient Access & Scheduling Applications
CTG is seeking multiple Business Application Analysts who are responsible for the support, configuration, and optimization of patient access and scheduling applications within a healthcare environment. This role provides functional and technical support for Eclipsys applications, Relatient patient engagement solutions, and Epic Prelude and Cadence. The analyst partners with Patient Access, Scheduling, Clinical Operations, and IT teams to ensure efficient registration, scheduling, and patient communication workflows that support high-quality patient care and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Application Support & Maintenance Provide day-to-day application support for Eclipsys patient access and scheduling modules, including issue investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution. Support and maintain Epic Prelude (registration, insurance, demographics) and Epic Cadence (scheduling, templates, provider calendars). Support Relatient solutions including appointment reminders, patient messaging, self-scheduling, and call center integrations. Monitor application performance, interfaces, and data accuracy across supported systems. Patient Access & Scheduling Workflow Support Collaborate with Patient Access, Scheduling, and Front Desk teams to understand operational workflows and translate business requirements into system configuration. Analyze registration and scheduling workflows to improve accuracy, efficiency, and patient experience. Support appointment reminder logic, confirmation workflows, and patient engagement strategies. Configuration, Testing & Enhancements Build and maintain system configuration, rules, and parameters within Epic Prelude, Cadence, Eclipsys, and Relatient. Participate in system upgrades, new feature rollouts, and enhancements, including unit testing, integrated testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Develop and maintain test plans, scripts, and validation documentation. Interfaces & Integrations Support interfaces between Epic, Eclipsys, Relatient, and third-party systems. Troubleshoot interface errors and data flow issues related to scheduling, registration, and patient communications. Validate inbound and outbound data related to appointments, patient demographics, and messaging. Reporting, Documentation & Training Assist with reporting and data analysis related to scheduling efficiency, patient access metrics, and engagement outcomes. Create and maintain system documentation, workflows, and support procedures. Provide training and ongoing support to operational and end-user teams. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Patient Access and Scheduling applications. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of healthcare IT application support experience with hands-on experience supporting: Eclipsys patient access or scheduling applications Relatient patient engagement solutions Epic Prelude and Cadence Strong understanding of patient access workflows, including registration, scheduling, insurance capture, and patient communications. Experience troubleshooting application issues and supporting integrated healthcare systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across clinical, operational, and IT teams. Preferred Qualifications Epic Prelude and/or Cadence certification. Experience supporting call center operations and patient engagement technologies. Familiarity with healthcare interfaces, HL7, and third-party vendor integrations. Experience with system implementations, conversions, or large-scale upgrades. Knowledge of reporting tools and data analysis. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
