Business Analytics Specialist
_In Manulife’s_ **_North America Treasury Operations (NATO)_** _, our mandate is to manage payment transactions and provide value added cash management services. As part of our ongoing digital transformation, we are continuously finding new ways to leverage data and technology to make our operations easier, better, faster for our employees, partners and customers._ _Reporting to the AVP Strategy & Analytics and working closely with the NATO Reporting & Analytics Lead, as a_ **_Business Analytics Specialist_** _, you will play a critical role in designing and developing metrics, reports, and analysis that support key business decisions. You will also gather and transform data from various sources into meaningful reports, dashboards, and insights for management._ **Job Posting Description:** _We’re looking for a_ **_Business Analytics Specialist_** _to join our Business Insights and Analytics team at MBPS. In this role, you are expected to extract actionable insights from data to inform decision-making, improve processes, and support organizational goals. By contributing to evidence-based strategies, you will help the business understand its performance, identify areas for improvement, and uncover opportunities for growth._ **Key Accountabilities:** + Gathers data from various sources, including databases, spreadsheets, logs and external datasets; scrubs and cleans data to remove inconsistencies, errors or missing values, to ensure data accuracy and accountability + Converts raw data into a format suitable for analysis which might involve normalization, aggregation, or other transformations + Assists in building models to forecast future trends or outcomes based on historical data + Designing and developing charts, graphs, and dashboards that help users to understand complex data + Creating regular or ad-hoc reports and analyses for management that highlight key metrics and trends, providing analysis on the success of business operations + Collaborate and directly work with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements, provide insights, present findings and analysis + Conduct data mapping exercises, identifying data sources, understanding data structures, and profiling data to ensure accuracy and completeness + Translate data-driven insights into clear user stories or business requirements that can guide the development of data-related solutions + Proactively identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of assigned reports. + Provide training and mentorship to team members, and, where applicable, to individuals outside the team, on reporting processes and technical skill development + Undertake complex ad-hoc requests and projects as required **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree holders with relevant work experience are welcome to apply + At least 5 years' experience in any data analysis, business reporting, business intelligence, or similar roles in the BPO/Shared Services industry. + Hybrid Work Arrangement: Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation and company related activities) + Shift Schedule (morning/mid/night): Amenability to work on the assigned schedule (dependent on business need) + Should have hands-on experience in data analysis, data manipulation, and + ETL processes skills such as collecting, transforming, and compiling raw data and generating useful reports from raw information + Should have demonstrated data storytelling, data visualization, and data governance skills to create compelling reports with dashboard elements like tables, charts, graphs, heat maps, and data models + Should have an extensive familiarity with data management concepts such as data warehousing, data mining and extraction, and predictive analytics and business reporting principles and best practices + Should have analytical skills to rigorously and effectively examine large quantities of data and derive useful insights from these data sets + Should provide mentorship to team members on best practices in reporting and dashboard development, while also leading team initiatives and strategic projects **When you join our team:** + We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. + We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words. + As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see. **Acerca de Manulife y John Hancock** Manulife Financial Corporation es un importante proveedor internacional de servicios financieros que ayuda a las personas a tomar decisiones de una manera más fácil y a vivir mejor.
