Business Analyst – Equity Swaps
Role Purpose

The Sr. Business Analyst will support the Equity Swaps programme, working closely with Front Office, Risk, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Technology. The role focuses on understanding business requirements, ensuring end‑to‑end alignment, and supporting the delivery of strategic and regulatory initiatives related to equity derivatives.

Key Responsibilities

BAU & Functional Support Provide BAU support, enhancements, and other initiatives across the end‑to‑end Equity Swaps process. Support to be delivered in US time (11:00–20:00 CET / Spanish Time). Partner with Front Office (Trading and Sales) to understand business needs and priorities. Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements across the trade lifecycle. Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Support the definition and maintenance of target operating models for Equity Swaps. Validate data outputs, reports, and reconciliations from a business perspective. Perform impact assessments for regulatory, business, or technology-driven changes. Support UAT (test cases, execution, scenario definition, business sign-off). Identify process improvements to reduce operational risk and increase efficiency. Stakeholder Management & Governance Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams. Facilitate workshops and working groups across Global Markets. Ensure requirements are prioritized, approved, and documented per governance standards. Track programme risks, dependencies, and business readiness.

Required Skills & Experience (Essential)

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in Global Markets or Investment Banking. Strong knowledge of Equity Swaps and equity derivatives. Solid understanding of front‑to‑back trade lifecycle and operating models. Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in English (B2 or above).

Desirable Experience

Experience in highly regulated environments and strong control frameworks. Exposure to regulatory initiatives impacting equity derivatives. Business Analysis or Agile certifications.

Technical Awareness

Essential:

Understanding of technical communication between systems: APIs, SFTP/file transfer, message queues (Tibco, Kafka, MS). Basic knowledge of internal network connectivity (IPs, Firewalls, NATs). Experience with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Nice to have:

Experience managing AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot).
