Who we are looking for

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the Data Platform at Charles River Development (CRD). This role focuses on translating business and client needs into clear, high‑quality requirements that enable solutions supporting Front Office and Middle Office workflows.

The Business Analyst will work within the Market Data Interface module as part of a collaborative, feature‑focused delivery team. The role involves close partnership with product management, engineering, external data vendors, and internal stakeholders to define, prioritize, and validate requirements across the software development lifecycle. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leading global vendors providing security and market data, gaining exposure to industry‑critical data products and integrations. Strong communication skills and familiarity with both financial and technical concepts are essential for success in this role.

What you are responsible for

Drive Product Development & Lifecycle

Apply your deep understanding of business requirements and workflows to shape innovative product solutions. Analyze business workflows and client needs to define clear, detailed functional and non‑functional requirements. Elicit, document, and refine business and technical requirements, including user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria. Partner with product managers, clients, and engineering teams to clarify scope and translate requirements into implementable solutions. Support backlog refinement and sprint activities by ensuring requirements are well defined, prioritized, and ready for development. Participate in Agile ceremonies to provide requirement clarification and support delivery execution. Support testing, beta programs, and release activities by validating outcomes against documented requirements. Collaborate with documentation teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and user‑friendly product materials.

Be the Data Interface module expert

Own vendor market data interfaces, including reference, pricing and corporate actions. Design, maintain, and govern data mappings across systems and sources. Use SQL and programming tools to transform, validate, and reconcile data. Monitor and improve data quality across trading, portfolio management, risk, and reporting platforms. Investigate data issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive remediation. Automate data validation and reconciliation to improve efficiency and accuracy. Provide analytical insights to internal and client‑facing teams.

Engage and Influence Stakeholders

Build strong cross‑functional relationships to understand data needs and deliver solutions. Act as the primary point of contact for data‑related questions and issue resolution. Ensure timely delivery of changes that enable accurate, reliable client data. Collaborate with Professional Services, Implementation, Support, Operations, and Relationship teams to align processes and outcomes.Education and Preferred Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computer Science, or Business Administration with specialization in FinanceMBA is strongly preferred with specialization in Finance

Experience

Minimum 5+ years in software development, business analysis, or financial technology within the Financial Services industry.Strong knowledge of Capital Markets, preferably with experience in Fixed Income securities and trade flow.Experience with data integration, including structured data formats (JSON, XML) and distributed systems.Solid understanding of Azure cloud services and SaaS platforms.Proven experience working within Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and using tools such as Jira.Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional, remote, and distributed teams.Strong communication and documentation skills, with experience working in fast‑paced, dynamic environments.Experience with Security Reference data management is a plus.Global or industry‑recognized certifications related to FinTech, Capital Markets, or Agile/Scrum practices are preferred.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $140,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
