Business Analyst
Business Analyst 2 – Remote (U.S. Only) About the Role We are seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Business Analyst to support two large engineering organizations focused on developing AI‑driven developer tools. This role plays a critical part in headcount operations, data analysis, and business management support for teams totaling approximately 2,500 members worldwide. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the success of engineering groups shaping the future of AI products and infrastructure. What You’ll DoCore Responsibilities + Manage end‑to‑end headcount (HC) operations for two large global organizations. + Provide data analysis, insights, and reporting using Excel and Power BI. + Maintain and improve dashboards, reporting tools, and organizational data structures. + Deliver periodic and ad hoc business management support to leadership (two Directors). + Lead an industry hiring project, partnering with hiring managers to ensure best practices (note: this role does not perform hiring). + Support business management office initiatives, including: + Org hierarchy reviews and corrections + PCN (Position Count Number) cleanup + Special projects aligned to product development and AI infrastructure needs Typical Day Your work will focus on: + HC tracking, forecasting, reconciliation, and accuracy checks + Delivering insights and data storytelling through dashboards and reports + Meeting deadlines for quarterly planning cycles + Partnering cross‑functionally with business managers, operations, and leadership + Handling ad hoc projects that drive operational excellence for engineering teams Why This Role Is Exciting You’ll be supporting two high‑impact engineering groups building next‑generation AI technologies. Required Qualifications + 5–7 years of Business Analyst or related operations experience + Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, etc.) + 5+ years of headcount management experience + 5+ years of advanced Excel & Power BI reporting experience + 5+ years of experience with SharePoint and PowerPoint Technical Skills Needed + Advanced Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, modeling, analysis) + Power BI (dashboard creation, data modeling, DAX preferred) + SharePoint (content management and workflows) + Strong PowerPoint storytelling for leadership reporting + Experience with enterprise systems What Makes a Candidate Stand Out + Previous experience in a large‑scale tech environment + Demonstrated excellence in HC management or business operations + Strong execution, attention to detail, and the ability to self‑start + Ability to produce accurate data and scalable reporting under tight deadlines Performance Expectations Success in this role will be measured through: + Accuracy and timeliness of headcount and reporting deliverables + Creation of new dashboards and reporting mechanisms + Effective partnership with managers and leaders + Completion and impact of special projects Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $41.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
