As a Business Analyst, you will serve as a critical liaison between technology, operations, and project teams. You will be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and translating operational needs into technical solutions. A DAY IN THE LIFE
Conduct comprehensive business process analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities across Operations, Safety, and Project Management functions.Gather, document, and validate business requirements from stakeholders including project managers, field teams, and executives.Create detailed process maps, workflow diagrams, and documentation to support system implementations and process improvements.Analyze system usage data and user engagement metrics to identify adoption challenges and recommend enhancements.Collaborate with implementation teams to ensure technology solutions (ERP, CRM, PM platforms) meet business requirements.Bridge communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.Develop user stories, use cases, and functional specifications for system customizations and enhancements.Support change management initiatives by documenting processes, creating training materials, and identifying user support needs.Conduct gap analysis between current and desired state processes, recommending solutions to close identified gaps.Participate in vendor evaluations and solution assessments, providing business perspective on technology decisions.Monitor project deliverables and track key performance indicators to measure success of implemented solutions.Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT) planning and execution.Perform regression testing on reports (Power BI, etc…)
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in technology implementation or process improvement roles.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.Experience with technology platforms (e.g., Procore, Power BI, ERP systems) strongly preferred.Proficiency in business process modeling tools and methodologies (BPMN, flowcharting, etc.).Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights.Excellent requirements gathering and documentation skills.Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies a plus.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Visio.Outstanding communication skills with ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Exceptional customer service skills. (Raving Fans)Business Analyst certification (CBAP, CCBA) or Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.Construction industry experience is a nice to have.
