**Title: Business Analyst 3**
**Location: Remote (must be able to work independently)**
**Duration: 12 months (possibility (Based on budget and performance)**
**Daily Schedule & OT estimate: Monday-Friday 40hours a week/ No Overtime**
**Pay rate range:** **$32 to $36**
**Typical Day in the Role**
**Purpose of the Team**
This role acts as a key operational and financial partner within the marketing organization. The goal is to ensure seamless execution of budget planning and reporting, purchase order (PO) management, vendor onboarding, accruals, and fiscal year transitions. The person in this role will ensure financial accuracy and compliance, and collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, procurement, finance, and vendor teams to enable strategic investment decisions.
**Key Projects & Responsibilities**
**Budget Management & Reporting**
+ Own and maintain budget pacing reports for various budget types: OPEX marketing, OPEX XR, discretionary, and revenue-adjust budgets.
+ Track spend against forecast and partner with marketing leads to align budgets with business targets.
**Purchase Order (PO) Operations**
+ Manage end-to-end PO lifecycle, including creation, extension, and alignment with fiscal year boundaries.
+ Coordinate with procurement and finance to ensure timely approvals and policy compliance.
**Vendor & Contract Management**
+ Onboard new vendors while ensuring accurate internal order (IO) and project alignment.
+ Route POs through appropriate approval flows for timely execution.
**Accruals & Reconciliation**
+ Lead monthly and quarterly accruals, partnering with AP to resolve any discrepancies.
+ Reconcile actuals vs. forecast to support reporting accuracy.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**
+ Act as a liaison between marketing, finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate financial tracking and timely issue resolution.
**Fiscal Year Transition Planning**
+ Set up new internal orders and cost centers for upcoming fiscal years.
+ Align financial structures with marketing strategies for accurate tracking and reporting continuity.
**Candidate Requirements**
+ Years of Experience: 5–7 years in marketing finance or related operations.
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but relevant experience takes priority.
**Disqualifiers**
+ No experience with Microsoft financial tools (especially Mercury)
+ Less than 18 months of Microsoft system access or tenure
+ Lack of experience with high-volume PO and vendor onboarding
+ Inability to demonstrate Excel proficiency
+ No prior exposure to Microsoft-specific tools or environments
+ Poor attention to detail or past quality issues
+ Inability to work independently in a remote environment
+ Weak communication or collaboration skills
+ History of non-compliance with internal policies
**Top 4 Hard Skills Required**
1. **5+ years of experience using Mercury** (Microsoft financial reporting tool)
2. **5+ years of experience in budgeting and financial tracking** using Microsoft financial tools
3. **5+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Excel** (formulas, pivot tables, data handling)
4. **5+ years of experience managing Purchase Orders (POs)** from creation to reconciliation

+ Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and produce accurate, polished financial reports
+ Be proactive in identifying and addressing underspending/overspending
+ Possess strong communication and collaboration skills
+ Navigate and manage high transaction volumes effectively
+ Show proficiency with Microsoft systems, including GSR Tool, MyOrder/ProcureWeb, and MSInvoice
+ Thrive in a remote, fast-paced environment
+ Have deep understanding of marketing finance operations, including accruals, vendor management, and fiscal planning
+ Be highly organized and solution-oriented
