Position Overview

This position supports our Enterprise Compliance & Controls system solutions for Risk Management, Legal, Treasury/Travel, Real Estate, Compliance, Internal Audit, Accounting, and Corporate Tax. The person in this role is responsible for technical support, analysis and design related to business change requests, project requirements, and proposed solutions that will meet department and enterprise goals and objectives. The candidate must have a passion for improving processes and systems utilized across these business areas. The candidate must have and continue to grow in technical aptitude around data integrity and security while operating within a portfolio of both on-premise and cloud solutions. The ability to build trusting relationships, build and ensure customer satisfaction, and execute action plans in a fast-paced environment are keys to success in this role. 

Responsibilities: 

Build and maintain a strong knowledge of the business processes and system capabilities across the Enterprise Compliance & Controls areas. 

Operate as a subject matter expert with in-depth functional knowledge about the systems and liaison with other IT technical resources and vendors. 

Provide daily business application support, which includes prompt responses to incoming calls, emails, chats to identify and perform root-cause analysis to resolve, prioritize, and escalate system issues and user problems. 

Act as a system administrator responsible for handling functional system configuration tasks and system access [can include user access/security; user interface configuration; parameter maintenance]. 

Perform analysis and design related to business change requests, requirements, and proposed solutions. 

Develop recommendations on system changes and define, document, and organize project requirements. 

Lead project sub-teams to execute project-related tasks. 

Coordinate and lead system and business testing, including development of test scripts and thorough documentation of test processes and results. 

Maintain functional relationships and engage regularly with functional users and department leadership to positively influence system users and ensure the successful adoption of applications. 

Create and maintain required documentation for system features, data management and integration, upgrades, and training material. 

Execute and support training on new and existing features to build and maintain proficiencies of end users. 

Recognize the sensitivity of enterprise data and ensure adherence to security protocols aligned with Shaw’s confidentiality and compliance standards. 

Required: 

2+ years’ technical/systems experience with High School Diploma/GED, OR Bachelor’s Degree 

Travel to other Shaw locations and off-site vendor conferences and educational opportunities  

Requires both in office and remote work environments 

Preferred: 

Knowledge and understanding of configurable systems and applications 

Understanding of IT fundamentals (data integrity, security, change management) 

Experience with on-premise server upgrades
