Worldwide Amazon Business Operations is building the operations and supply chain solutions that will enable AB’s rapid growth by re-engineering many parts of our supply chain to offer bulk, consolidated, pallet deliveries and many other services that business customers require. The AB Ops Analytics team is looking for a Business Analyst to assist with AB Ops reporting, ad-hoc data pulls and analytics projects. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team in a huge growth area for Amazon. An ideal candidate has a background in Data Analytics and excellent data driven problem-resolution skills. He/she/they have the ability to pull and analyze data with ease, communicate with more senior stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical specifications. Key job responsibilities - Enable effective decision through proactive retrieval and data aggregation from multiple sources - Communicate analysis and insights to internal stakeholders both verbally and in writing - Collect and understand business requirements from Stakeholders and independently pull data to solve those questions / problems using SQL - Create reports and Dashboards using Quicksight and Excel - Lead discussions with cross-functional teams and leadership to influence and create innovative solutions - Work independently in a dynamic environment About the team Amazon Business (AB) launched in the United States in April 2015 with the vision of delivering a comprehensive procurement solution for business customers of all sizes. In the US, AB now serves Fortune 500 companies, hospital systems, local governments, and education organizations. To support AB's mission, the AB Operations team owns end to end customer experience for AB customers right from checkout to final mile delivery and sits under the broader Global Transportation Services (GTS). We are the Single Threaded WW Ops team driving B2B operations, developing products and programs unique to business customers, and enhancing the core Amazon delivery capabilities for commercial addresses. While Amazon has built its core operations over the last two decades mostly catered towards the end-consumer, we recognize that the business customers have unique needs and require a different set of features and services from their e-Commerce provider. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights - Experience with SQL or ETL - Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages Preferred Qualifications - Experience using very large datasets - Experience creating complex SQL queries joining multiple datasets, ETL DW concepts - Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis - Experience in Amazon Redshift and other AWS technologies Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $50,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $107,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
