Business Analysis Manager - Payments - Vice President

As a Business Analysis Manager in the Payment Network Office, you are a strategic thinker who mines data and builds relationships in order to get answers and develop solutions. You like to discover where inefficiencies come from, and you really like to think of creative ways to solve problems. The idea of mastering new data sources is a challenge that makes your day interesting, and you enjoy sharing what you’ve learned. The idea of optimizing repeat analytics is a no brainer to you. Prioritizing work isn’t difficult for you because you’re able to translate high level business objectives into your day to day.

 

Job Responsibilities 

Exhibits  proficiency with Data Analytics – the biggest portion of your job will be coding, investigating, summarizing, and communicating the operational and financial performance of our business. Solves Problems – Sure, you can find problems, but you’re also adept at finding root causes and proposing solutions. You know the go-to-market version of a solution  incorporates multiple stakeholders’ ideasOptimizes  time spent on recurring analyses by improving operating processes and analytic routines.Learns constantly. Staying current with new technology, new data sources and our ever-changing code base are critical to advancement for you and for our business. Learning the finite details of how the business runs will make you and your ideas stronger.Work with  many databases on many different problems that span many different business functions. (This is why your love of learning and exploring is so important)

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills 

5+ years of analytics experience - writing code, investigating issues and discovering and communicating insights. You know what questions to ask and won’t stop until you get the answers you need. You understand how to learn new data. You get the difference between reporting and analytics. Demonstrated ability to use your analytics to build solutions. You know that discovering issues is only half of the job. You understand how the team and business works, and use your findings to suggest new ways to do business. You work with stakeholders to make change happen.Exhibits strategic, purposeful, independent thinking. A thinker who doesn’t let uncertain or incomplete data get in the way of finding answers. Proven ability to manage your workload - you’re your own production shop and you’re adept at deciding what to do every day, keeping business goals in mind.Consumer Payments industry experience (working on Payment Network data like network fees and interchange) 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

Proficiency with multiple query languages and reporting platforms: SQL, R, SAS, Snowflake, Tableau, Toad or others
