Bus Mechanic
**Bus Mechanic** **Job Description** As a Bus Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work on buses, performing a range of tasks including diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems, conducting minor engine work, handling transmissions, brakes, oil changes, AC units, and bodywork (both inside and outside). You will use hand tools and power drills to repair buses and are responsible for completing visual inspections before and after repairs. **Responsibilities** + Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical systems on buses. + Perform minor engine work and handle transmission repairs. + Conduct brake and oil changes. + Repair and maintain AC units. + Complete bodywork inside and outside of buses. + Utilize hand tools and power drills for repairs. + Conduct visual inspections on buses before and after work. + Complete up to 10 job orders per day independently. + Document completed work and unfinished tasks. **Essential Skills** + 2-5 years of experience working on buses or trucks. + Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. + Experience in performing visual inspections. + Electrical systems diagnosis experience, particularly with multiplex systems. + Strong computer and documentation skills. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Franklin Park, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
