Our client, an educational organization dedicated to student safety and support, is seeking a Bus Aid to join their team. As a Bus Aid, you will be part of the transportation department supporting the safety and well-being of students. The ideal candidate will have patience, attentiveness, and strong communication skills which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Bus Aid
**Location:** MARION, IN
**Pay Range:** $11
**Shift:**
**What's the Job?**
+ Assist students with boarding, seating, and exiting the bus safely.
+ Monitor student behavior and ensure adherence to safety rules.
+ Provide support to students with special needs, including securing wheelchairs and other mobility devices.
+ Communicate effectively with the bus driver and school staff regarding student needs or concerns.
+ Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in all situations.
**What's Needed?**
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Experience working with children or in a school setting is a plus.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Must pass background checks (CLEAR background) since you are working in a school setting.
+ Ability to perform emergency procedures when necessary, including evacuation drills.
