Minnesota Specialty Health System (MSHS) Wadena provides rehabilitation and supportive residential services for individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. As an Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) facility, MSHS Wadena focuses on rehabilitative education, building interpersonal skills, and developing community engagement skills to increase each client’s independence and self-management of their illness, behavior, and emotion. The role of Building Services Lead is to provide a safe and secure facility so that clients receive quality professional services in a therapeutic environment that is safe and meets our regulatory standards for environment of care. Maximize the risk of the potential spread of infection; maximize safety for staff, clients, and visitors; and coordinating general maintenance/housekeeping tasks to meet regulatory and licensing requirements. **Responsibilities include:** + Perform lead duties of general maintenance work, directing specific maintenance functions, and overseeing maintenance and repair activities; + Ensure implementation of routine program for cleanliness of building so that the Department of Health, OSHA, and MSHS standards are met, and clients reside in a healthy and safe environment; + Maintain supply and equipment inventory so that automated or mechanical housekeeping tasks are performed efficiently and timely with the proper equipment; + Arrange for needed repairs and tasks as assigned throughout the MSHS facility to maintain quality housekeeping services. **Minimum Qualifications** To qualify, applicants must also have knowledge of: + Principles of lead work sufficient to plan, lead and provide training to departmental staff; + Methods, tools and equipment used in maintenance sufficient to use effectively and operate safely, plus make minor repairs; + Technical knowledge of cleaning supplies and chemicals and possible chemical reactions; + Basic knowledge of tools and equipment involved in light maintenance (i.e. carpentry, painting, simple machine repairs); + Safety procedures and regulations and the ability to communicate these to others; + Basic computer and e-mail usage, plus word processing, database and spreadsheet software sufficient to maintain electronic records and complete reports. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with problem solving maintenance issues and experience working independently. **Additional Requirements** To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held.
