The Sanitation Associate is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the Supply Chain Center’s office and assigned areas. They maintain structure, and their attention to detail ensure the center has a safe and healthy working environment. The Sanitation Associate will be responsible for properly cleaning/sanitation tasks, in office areas, restrooms, conference rooms, and in/outside the center.
Compensation: $22.00/hour; bi-weekly
Shift: Sunday - Thursday; 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; occasional projects on Saturdays
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation tasks, which may include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and dusting in assigned areas Assist with cleaning throughout warehouse area Clean and empty tools and equipment used daily, such as, vacuums, carpet cleaners Clean and disinfect bathrooms, can include sinks, floors, toilets, and shower areas Maintain bathrooms stocked with supplies, such as, toilet paper, soap, paper towel dispensers Empty trash bins in assigned areas, i.e., offices, break room(s), or conference(s)Maintain the windows around the center clean, this can include in and outdoorsAssist in organizing designated areas after cleaningAdhere to following safety protocols when handling cleaning materials and/or any chemicalsAdhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Properly store all sanitation equipmentReport any maintenance or repairs issues to their manager promptlyAdditional duties as assigned; which could include assisting on the production line or warehouse tasksQualifications• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1-2 years of sanitation experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or production environment, preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision, yet maintain teamwork
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Knowledge of proper handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals and/or materials, follow safety protocols
• Detailed oriented
• Must successfully pass a background checks every 3rd year on your anniversary date
• Must be able to work in a cleaning/sanitation environment with water and other cleaning chemicals
• Must be available to work during a shift which may be scheduled anytime during a 24-hour day, over any 7-day period, including weekends and holiday
Position Description -Sanitation Office/Building
• Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, and lift to from floor above head 25 lbs. frequently, and 50 lb. occasionally throughout shift
• Ability to work in refrigerated conditions [0-38 degrees] or heat [80+ degrees], and environment with exposure to loud machinery, when necessary
• Able to work with yeast and flour products
• At times, prolonged and frequent walking over short distances [<500 ft.]
