Cushman & Wakefield is looking for a skilled Building Manager to lead operations at one of our key Manchester client sites. This is your opportunity to deliver best-in-class service, create a positive occupier experience, and drive property performance through operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Operational Leadership: Manage day-to-day building operations, planned maintenance, and supplier performance to ensure a safe, compliant, and high-performing environment.

Occupier Engagement: Be the face of Cushman & Wakefield onsite, building trusted relationships with tenants and responding swiftly to queries, feedback and service needs.

Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee all aspects of building compliance (e.g. H&S, CDM, Fire, Asbestos, Legionella), supported by our compliance systems and advisors.

Service Partner Management: Lead relationships with contracted suppliers, ensuring high-quality delivery through reviews, documentation checks, and quarterly performance meetings.

Helpdesk Oversight: Coordinate tasks through our CAFM system (Meridian/E-Logbooks) and liaise with the Helpdesk to ensure SLA adherence and accurate reporting.

Budget & Finance: Support the production and management of service charge budgets and reconciliations. Manage invoicing, POs, and performance against spend.

Sustainability & Innovation: Support environmental reporting and look for opportunities to enhance building sustainability and service innovation.

Leadership & Culture: Coach and support on-site teams, champion a culture of safety and wellbeing, and align with Cushman & Wakefield’s values in all you do.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in facilities or building management within a customer-focused, multi-occupier environment.

Strong knowledge of compliance, contractor supervision, service charge budgeting, and operational health and safety.

Confidence in leading supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and driving improvements.

Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.

Familiar with CAFM systems and a hands-on, proactive approach to problem-solving.

Self-motivated and service-driven, with a genuine passion for creating positive experiences.

Desirable Qualifications:

IWFM Level 4 (or equivalent)

IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent

AssocRICS or working toward membership

Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and reporting tools
