Job Description Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the daily operations and long-term planning of one or more properties. This role ensures the efficient delivery of services including maintenance, health and safety, contractor management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical knowledge, operational leadership, and commercial acumen.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the facility/campus, including cleaning, life safety systems, engineering, and general maintenance.

Ensure service contracts are regularly reviewed, competitively tendered, and correctly invoiced.

Supervise all maintenance programmes relating to the condition and appearance of both the interior and exterior of the property.

Respond promptly to building occupants’ requests for maintenance, repairs, and cleaning.

Maintain accurate, site-specific documentation and reports including manuals, compliance logs, insurance certificates, and as-built drawings.

Prepare budgets, financial reports (monthly and quarterly), contracts, and purchase orders.

Support the development of capital budgets and contribute to a five-year maintenance and improvement plan.

Collect and analyse data to assess facility management performance and objectives.

Ensure compliance with the management contract and all relevant vendor agreements.

Monitor tenant and vendor insurance requirements and coordinate claims.

Proactively inspect all aspects of the facility and report findings to the Facility Manager.

Experience:

3–5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within commercial or industrial property

Background in maintenance, construction, engineering, or property operations

Experience with CMMS/Work Order Management systems

Desirable Qualifications:

Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or other relevant industry certifications (e.g. IFMA, BOMA)

Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications

Understanding of building management systems

High proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems (e.g. Yardi)
