**About the Role:**
CBRE is looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician at a one of our clients with a **\"Food Production\" facility in Kansas City, MO.** We are looking for a Tech that will take pride in keeping buildings running like clockwork. If you’re hands-on, reliable, and have a mechanical mindset, we want to hear from you!
** This is a **non-smoking facility;** Work uniforms and boots must stay within the facility. Workers must change any time they come and go from the building. **M-F 7:00 - 3:30 Very occasional on call could arise.**
CBRE is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, monitoring and repairs on building systems including mechanical and electrical components. (Light, plumbing, carpentry and electrical/ lighting. This role supports energy efficiency, ensures compliance with safety codes. Ideal candidates have basic mechanical experience, strong organizational skills, and the physical ability to handle manual tasks in a fast-paced environment.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on building equipment and systems.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
+ Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
+ Review assigned work orders and update CMMS (SI7) with job status updates and completion notes
+ Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
+ Inspect existing Fire Life Safety equipment, building codes and safety laws.
+ Experience with Dock Doors, Levelers, and restraints is preferred.
+ Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems.
+ Exchange information in a clear, concise manner.
+ Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
+ Deliver own output by following procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education may be considered.
+ It is preferred that candidates have commercial facilities/ building maintenance experience with some Dock experience.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
+ Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
+ Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and manage work orders through a CMMS.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive, mechanical mindset.

What You’ll Need
+ Applicants must be currently authorized to work in United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
+ Two years of experience working in a maintenance support role.
+ High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
+ Ability to attend a 12-week in person paid training at a designated training provider.
+ Proficiencyusing computers and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). Programming experiencea plus.
+ Ability to solve problems and carry out general instructions in standard situations suchas;routine maintenance, repairs, preventative measures, emergency responses, coordination, and safety compliance.
+ Ability to move up to 50lbs and physical requirements including stooping, standing, walking, and climbing stairs / ladders with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
+ Experience using powered or non-powered hand tools.

The minimum salary for this position is $65,707 annually [or $31.59 per hour] and the maximum salary for this position is $73,008 annually [or $35.10 per hour]. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
