Building Engineer Team Lead Data Center Union
About the Role: As a CBRE Union Data Center Team Lead, you will oversee the team responsible for performing preventative maintenance and complex corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of critical client environments. What You’ll Do: - Manage daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance. - Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment. - React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed. - Make sure third parties and vendors follow compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations. Accompany vendor’s on-site visits as needed and ensure site standards are met. - Verify subcontractor performance meets all requirements per the Master Service Agreement. - Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment. Assist staff with tricky situations. - Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to complex HVAC-related client problems. - Review meter readings from UPS, PDU and utilities to ensure accurate information is documented. - Provide Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting. Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects. - Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance at the site. - Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and confirm all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. - Operate a permit-to-work system under the company’s health and safety procedures. Verify that appropriate controls are within the Permit-to-Work systems. - Ensure that ACOP’s applicable to the maintenance industry procedures. - Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records. - Help create and develop work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment. Ensure that CERM documents and logbooks are updated. - Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities. - Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish assigned tasks and solve routine problems. - Have broad knowledge of own job discipline and some knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. - Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. - Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team. - Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. - Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations. - May convince others to reach agreement. What You’ll Need: - High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. - Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. - Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems. - Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents. - In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Project Scheduler position is $110,000 per year and the maximum salary for the Project Scheduler position is $130,000 per year. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
