**About the Role:** As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, plumbing, structural, and life safety systems within our multi-building medical campus in Northridge, CA. This client-facing position requires a proactive individual with a strong commitment to safety, energy efficiency, and delivering exceptional service to support the critical functions of the medical facility. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. **What You’ll Do:** + Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs across various building systems, including mechanical, plumbing, structural components, furniture, fire detection, life safety, and control systems. + Ensure all facility and building systems adhere to applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency directives, and company standards for building operations and workplace safety. + Implement and manage an effective energy management program, striving to operate all systems in the most efficient manner possible. + Assist in the execution of a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to maximize the lifespan and reliability of building machinery and systems. + Respond promptly to emergency repair needs to minimize disruption and ensure continuous facility operation. + Adhere to departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials, maintaining a consistently clean and safe workplace. + Conduct thorough inspections of building systems, including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing, to confirm equipment operates within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions specified by the client. + Complete work orders efficiently and accurately. + Execute repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing lights, drywall, graffiti removal, and plumbing fixtures (e.g., toilets). + Assist with the moving and assembly of furniture as needed. + Interact professionally with clients, addressing their needs and concerns in a timely and effective manner. + Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. + Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement. + Impact a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams. + Work within broad guidelines and policies. + Explain difficult or sensitive information. **What You’ll Need:** + High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred. + Possession of a Universal EPA License. + Proven experience in maintenance covering all systems listed in the responsibilities section, including mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, life safety, and control systems. + Strong understanding of building codes, safety practices, and general maintenance procedures. + Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues across diverse building systems. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. + Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. + Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. + Sophisticated math skills.
