**About the Role:** As a CBRE Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. **The schedule for this role is Sunday to Wednesday, starting at 2:00 PM and ending at midnight.** **What You’ll Do:** Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems to ensure optimal facility operations. Support and maintain facility equipment including **Boilers, Chillers, Air Compressors, Pumps, and Motors** . Operate and maintain **Waste Water Treatment** systems and **Deionized Water** systems to meet environmental and operational standards. Ensure all building systems align with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives related to building operations and work safety. Maintain and optimize an energy management program to ensure all systems operate efficiently. Assist in implementing a preventive maintenance program to extend the life of building machinery and systems. Perform emergency repairs and respond to urgent maintenance needs as required. Follow departmental policies for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintain a clean and safe workplace. Conduct inspections of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure equipment operates within design capabilities and meets prescribed environmental conditions. Provide innovative solutions and apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles, techniques, and procedures to accomplish complex assignments. Coach and mentor team members, sharing expertise across multiple job fields. Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with **CBRE RISE** values. Collaborate across teams to impact customer service, operations, and project outcomes. Work within broad guidelines and policies, explaining complex or sensitive information effectively. Support utility systems up to the production area. **What You’ll Need:** + High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED or equivalent experience, or trade school diploma or equivalent experience with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Universal CFC certification is preferred. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred. + Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. + Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. + Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. + In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. + Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. + Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations. **Certifications (Preferred but not required):** + Mechanical HVAC + Boiler Technician + Stationary Engineer + Universal HVAC + Deionized Water Plant Operations + Electrical Engineering + BMS (Building Management System) Manipulation + Universal CFC Certification Any certifications/licenses required by local or state jurisdictions Why CBRE? The minimum salary for the Chief Building Engineer position is $115,000 annually [$55.28 hourly] and the maximum salary for the position is $122,000 annually [or $58.65 per hour].
