**About the Role:**
This role is responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems with a strong focus on electrical infrastructure, including high-voltage equipment, lighting, and breaker panels. You’ll also perform general facility maintenance, light plumbing, and respond to service requests to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The position requires hands-on technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering reliable service.
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and lighting systems, as well as broader building infrastructure including HVAC, plumbing, and structural components.
+ Perform new installations of equipment and assist with workspace reconfigurations, including moving furniture and equipment.
+ Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems. Review historical maintenance records to develop proactive testing and service schedules.
+ Diagnose and repair components such as valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, pipes, doors, locks, ceiling tiles, and flooring.
+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms, electrical closets, and workspaces.
+ Ensure equipment is maintained and operating safely, strictly following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for energized systems.
+ Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain breaker panels, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures including LED, fluorescent, and emergency lighting.
+ Safely work with high-voltage systems (up to 480V and 3-phase), including motors, transformers, and distribution panels.
+ Perform light plumbing tasks such as repairing sinks, toilets, urinals, clearing clogs, replacing seals, and monitoring water heaters and pumps.
+ Use diagnostic tools like multimeters and clamp meters to identify and resolve electrical faults.
+ Ensure all electrical work complies with local codes, OSHA standards, and NFPA guidelines.
+ Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service requests.
+ Provide efficient and reliable service to customers, applying general knowledge of standard principles and procedures to solve routine problems.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, influencing others toward agreement when needed.
+ Impact the quality of your own work and that of others on the team, working primarily within standardized procedures to meet objectives and deadlines.
+ Communicate complex information clearly in straightforward situations.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 3-4 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred. Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes. Valid Driver's license required.
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
+ Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
+ Advanced math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages discounts and commissions.
