**Job Title: Building Engineer**
**Job Description**
The Building Engineer will be responsible for completing work orders and troubleshooting/repair tasks throughout the AMD campus in South Austin. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and willing to assist in various areas such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, installing keyboard trays, and repairing office furniture systems.
+ Execute special tasks including painting, locksmith work, and handling tenant service requests.
+ Maintain and repair lighting system bulbs and ballasts.
+ Assist the operations team in building and equipment maintenance and repairs.
+ Conduct minor plumbing repairs.
+ Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.
+ Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts.
+ Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the safety of work areas.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of facility maintenance experience, with a strong preference for commercial experience.
+ Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
+ Basic computer skills, including knowledge of email, Internet, and Microsoft Word.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ OSHA & EPA Certifications are preferred.

**Work Environment**
The work is conducted on the AMD campus in South Austin, which features very nice and well-maintained buildings. Candidates will have exposure to high-tech equipment and systems. The shift is Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour shift between 6 am and 6 pm, and Saturday work as needed.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
