Building Automation Technician
**Job Title: BAS Technician** Job Description We are seeking a skilled BAS Technician who will be responsible for project site visits to investigate and document existing mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. This role involves leading engineering design and development activities to support construction, operations, and maintenance of customer site projects. Responsibilities + Conduct project site visits to assess existing systems and document conditions, including system performance and infrastructure drawings. + Lead engineering design and development activities for construction, operations, and maintenance projects related to energy savings performance contracts, O&M contracts, and fee-based consultations. + Coordinate with vendors and installation contractors to implement project scopes of work successfully. + Collaborate with project stakeholders to gather information on issues and changes in control systems. + Lead and manage the coordination of integration activity and provide technical support for DDC-based hardware and software. + Conduct graphics engineering functions, including reviewing completed packages for accuracy and maintaining a graphic library. + Document and collaborate with stakeholders to align on objectives, priorities, schedules, risks, and features. + Assist in training associates, equipment operators, end users, and technical support staff on operations and procedures. + Identify potential problem areas, recommend solutions, and work closely with clients to resolve issues efficiently. + Contribute to the creation and implementation of methodologies, process improvements, and corrective action plans. + Facilitate final sign-off, walk-through, and project closeout with clients. + Perform other duties as assigned by leadership. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Siemens control, installation, and automation systems. + Experience with building automation systems, commissioning, point-to-point, HVAC control, and control systems. + Minimum of 5 years of work experience in HVAC, Building Automation, or control systems. + At least 3 years of experience in integration, checkout, testing, commissioning, and/or field support of DDC and/or PLC-based automation systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong technical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work collaboratively with various project stakeholders. + Excellent documentation and communication skills. Job Type & Location This is a Direct Hire position based out of Greenbelt, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
