What You Will Do:

Provides ongoing system-wide maintenance and conducts financial updates. 

Assists program managers in executing activities for all appropriated funding.  

Prepares required funding documents for entry into procurement systems (STRIPES) and drafts funding memorandums.  

Supports the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) by providing data entry support, conducting first-level reviews for accuracy and completeness, and assisting with the preparation of the Approved Funding Program (AFP). 

Develops, drafts, and prepares training materials and provides hands-on training for corporate-wide systems, including the financial planning system and AOP development.  

Assists program managers and laboratory personnel by providing direct technical support and subject matter expertise to develop various financial planning scenarios and spending plans.  

Updates Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and training manuals for system tools. 

Conducts strategic analyses of program performance and financial data to track, evaluate, and adjust program financial performance for senior management.  

Prepares special purpose formatted reports and electronic financial management updates. Collects, analyzes, and prepares financial data in response to OMB data calls and assists in the development of annual apportionment requests and small business procurement acquisition baselines. 

What You Will Need: 

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university 

A minimum of three to five (3 - 5) years of consulting experience in a federal, state, or local agency/organization

Strong knowledge of DOE policies and procedures 

Strong project management and stakeholder facilitation skills. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel 

Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills 

Detail oriented, flexible, proactive, and able to prioritize tasks quickly to adapt to changing client priorities and respond to ad-hoc requests 

Experience in providing data entry support, conducting first-level reviews for necessary reporting 

Direct experience in providing technical support and subject matter expertise to develop various financial planning scenarios and spending plans 

Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse  

Due to contract requirements, US Citizenship restrictions apply 

This in-person position role requires up to 5 days on-site at the Client's office  

This in-person position is open to candidates who will reside within 50 miles of DC
 

What Would Be Nice To Have:

Bachelors in Finance or a similar field 

Direct experience utilizing systems like STRIPES and the IDW 

PMP
