Key Responsibilities + Lead and supervise above‑water and underwater bridge inspections and ancillary structure evaluations + Assess field conditions and design challenges, providing clear, actionable recommendations + Contribute to project proposals, scopes, and planning documents + Prepare, maintain, and monitor project budgets and schedules + Perform engineering analyses, calculations, and cost estimates + Produce comprehensive inspection reports, plans, and technical documentation + Mentor entry‑level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff + Provide technical coaching to field personnel on inspection procedures and best practices + Exercise sound independent judgment within established project frameworks + Utilize computer‑assisted engineering and design tools effectively + Participate in professional and technical organizations as part of continuous development + Attend occasional off‑hours meetings and project events + Uphold and promote rigorous safety standards in all work environments Essential Skills & Qualifications + Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Bridge Inspector – Team Leader + New York State Professional Engineer (PE) License required + Demonstrated experience inspecting bridges or ancillary structures + Strong understanding of civil engineering principles related to bridge inspection Preferred Qualifications + Successful completion of NHI/FHWA Safety Inspection of In‑Service Bridges + NICET certification in relevant disciplines Work Environment This role offers a balanced blend of fieldwork and office‑based engineering tasks. You will work with advanced inspection and design software and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams committed to quality, accuracy, and safety. Occasional off‑hours commitments may be required.
