Job Title: Bridge InspectorAbout the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Bridge Inspector to lead above‑water and underwater bridge inspections, oversee maintenance activities, and support the evaluation and design of essential transportation structures. In this role, you will provide technical expertise, mentor junior staff, and ensure that every project is delivered with precision, safety, and excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise above‑water and underwater bridge inspections and ancillary structure evaluationsAssess field conditions and design challenges, providing clear, actionable recommendationsContribute to project proposals, scopes, and planning documentsPrepare, maintain, and monitor project budgets and schedulesPerform engineering analyses, calculations, and cost estimatesProduce comprehensive inspection reports, plans, and technical documentationMentor entry‑level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staffProvide technical coaching to field personnel on inspection procedures and best practicesExercise sound independent judgment within established project frameworksUtilize computer‑assisted engineering and design tools effectivelyParticipate in professional and technical organizations as part of continuous developmentAttend occasional off‑hours meetings and project eventsUphold and promote rigorous safety standards in all work environmentsEssential Skills & QualificationsMinimum 1+ years of experience as a Bridge Inspector – Team LeaderNew York State Professional Engineer (PE) License requiredDemonstrated experience inspecting bridges or ancillary structuresStrong understanding of civil engineering principles related to bridge inspectionPreferred QualificationsSuccessful completion of NHI/FHWA Safety Inspection of In‑Service BridgesNICET certification in relevant disciplinesWork EnvironmentThis role offers a balanced blend of fieldwork and office‑based engineering tasks. You will work with advanced inspection and design software and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams committed to quality, accuracy, and safety. Occasional off‑hours commitments may be required.
