### Job Duties Bricklayer Foreman Full Job Description Duties & Responsibilities Commercial Masonry Company is seeking a qualified, full-time Bricklayer Foreman (Crew Lead) for year-round work. Duties and responsibilities vary based on the position. Foreman must be able to read blueprints/plans, measure accurately for block/brick placement, and supervise crews effectively. Bricklayers may also erect scaffolding around the building/other structures as needed. Post-tension multi-story experience a plus. Candidates must be self-motivated & able to work independently. Bricklayer Foreman – duties include, but are not limited to: · Identifying and resolving issues that may affect the project progress. · Reviewing & interpreting blueprints, drawings, and plans to ensure accurate layout & installation. · Delegating tasks and providing leadership & direction to masonry crews. · Construct masonry walls using brick, block, stone, and mortar. · Perform trowel work, tuckpointing, & positioning materials accurately. · Picking, carrying & installing various masonry materials. · Cleaning block, installing corefill and rebar, set lintels & sawing masonry or concrete products to fit. · Performing occasional masonry demolition. · Assisting laborers as needed, including scaffold building, heat & cover & tending. Frequent use of various hand tools. Loading and unloading construction materials and equipment from trucks as needed. · Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. · Follow the direction of the supervisor/project manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite. · Maintaining accurate records of the number of hours worked and the number of materials used for each project. · Work hands-on with tools and crews throughout project execution. · Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task. · Wear personal protective equipment as required. · Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required. · Demonstrate self-motivation & the ability to work independently. Qualifications & Requirements · Ability to pass a credit check (for company credit card use). · Union membership in good standing or willingness to join local union. · Perform each responsibility stated above successfully. · High school diploma or a General Education Degree is preferred. · 3-5 years minimum of related masonry and construction experience and/or training. · Valid driver’s license & driving record acceptable to the insurance company. · Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. · Ability to work overtime and weekends when necessary. · Knowledge of construction materials, methods, & tools. · Ability to read, write, and do basic mathematical calculations. · Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions. · Physical requirements include the ability to: stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects or controls, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl. · Perform heavy labor and lift up to 90 lbs. · Able to work in all weather conditions. · Ability to work on clay, sand, concrete floor or scaffolding. · Ability to climb & descend ladders, scaffolding and stairs. · Willingness to perform general cleanup, scaffold building or block/brick tending & operate basic equipment as needed. The hourly pay rate is based on the collective bargaining agreement of the local union contracts in the Twin Cities Metro area.
