**Job Title: Brick Layer** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Brick Layer responsible for constructing brickwork for buildings. The ideal candidate must have the ability to read and analyze building plans, check specifications, determine the most accurate layout, and mark guidelines. A successful Brick Layer should be detail-oriented, demonstrating the necessary knowledge and skill to build walls, houses, or other building structures. Ultimately, a top-notch Brick Layer will maintain a high standard of workmanship with safety and precision. **Responsibilities** + Analyze and interpret building plans. + Interpret work orders and determine the materials required. + Measure distances from reference points. + Calculate angles and determine the vertical and horizontal alignment of courses. + Lay bricks using mortar as a binder and a trowel to level. + Fasten bricks with wire clamps or cement. + Work safely on scaffolds and swing stages at various heights. + Use equipment and tools effectively to perform basic construction tasks. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in stonemasonry, block work, and concrete construction. + Ability to use power tools effectively. + Experience in brick laying, blueprint reading, mixing, grouting, caulking, and masonry. + Minimum of 1 year's industry experience on a construction site. + Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in bricklaying and construction. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Problem-solving ability. + Ability to work independently or as part of a team. + Ability to lift 100 pounds. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values craftsmanship and precision in building structures, offering a supportive environment for professional growth and development.
