**Job Title: Brazing Technician** Job Description We are seeking a skilled Brazing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to determine material requirements and assembly instructions. You will be responsible for efficiently assembling chillers and heat exchangers, troubleshooting design and assembly issues, and performing copper brazing on industrial equipment. Responsibilities + Interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions. + Assemble chillers and heat exchangers per drawings, schematics, and technical data efficiently. + Troubleshoot design and assembly issues and collaborate with engineering to correct them. + Perform copper brazing on industrial equipment. + Maintain paint inventory and material usage logs. + Position and align components for assembly. + Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies. Essential Skills + Ability to accurately read a tape measure. + Ability to accurately interpret schematics and blueprints. + 2 years of experience in brazing/soldering copper efficiently without leaks. + 2 years of experience in bending pipe. + Troubleshooting assembly issues. + Basic knowledge of refrigeration. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with mechanical assembly. + Familiarity with HVAC systems. + Proficiency with hand tools. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work the first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM in a union environment after a 6-month probationary period. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Niles, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.68 - $23.74/hr.
