Job Description

As a Brazer, you will leverage your skills to produce high-quality commercial HVAC equipment, ensuring customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for assembling a variety of components and subassemblies, starting from basic parts to completed equipment, with quality inspections integrated into each stage.

ResponsibilitiesPerform assigned product manufacturing and brazing tasks.Conduct brazing operations to join metal components using various techniques and materials.Clean, degrease, and prepare surfaces for brazing, ensuring optimal adhesion.Assemble parts for brazing, ensuring components are aligned and properly fitted.Use a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools to complete assembly within customer equipment.Fabricate tubing using tube bending equipment, following drawings and schematics for dimensional requirements.Perform in-process checks and inspections throughout the assembly process.Complete shop paperwork and records to ensure compliance with manufacturing and customer requirements.Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Comply with safety regulations and properly utilize personal protective equipment.Essential SkillsBlueprint readingBrazing (open to welding)Mechanical assembly skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsDiploma or GED1+ years of brazing or welding experienceWhy Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a large job shop HVAC unit manufacturer with three buildings dedicated to different manufacturing units. Building 1 is focused on pre-assembly with sheet metal fabrication, welding, and electrical panel building. Building 2 is dedicated to the assembly of HVAC units, including brazing and electrical wiring. Building 3 handles finishing, testing, closing, and shipping of units. The facility houses a total of 140 employees, including engineering and administrative support. The job operates on the first shift from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
