Must be friendly, outgoing, reliable, and enjoy interacting with the public. The individual in this position must be able to work some weekends, holiday, and be willing to work a minimum of three shifts at the State Fair and/or three events throughout the summer months. Duties may include: Selling and redeeming Lottery tickets, answering questions, assisting players with games and event activities, stocking and cleaning the booth area. May be scheduled to help with set-up and tear-down of the booth space. Most events are outdoors and are located within the seven-county metro area. **Minimum Qualifications** Must be 18 years of age or older Possession of: + Active, valid, and applicable Minnesota Class D driver's license Knowledge of: + Communications sufficient to apply accurate spelling and grammar in written communications + Math sufficient to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers Ability to: + Communicate in a variety of formats to gather and relay information with tact and diplomacy + Provide prompt and courteous service to customers, employees, and the public such as answering questions and providing information + Communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who do not share your same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences **Preferred Qualifications** + Retail experience, selling and making change for customers + Prior event experience **Physical Requirements** Medium: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and or/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move and/or transport objects.
