Job Description

Join our team as a Brake Operator, where you will play a critical role in operating machinery to produce high-quality metal components. This position involves setting up and operating press brakes and other machines, ensuring the precision and quality of the parts produced.

Responsibilities

Load and unload tools based on the setup sheet.Operate the machine control and carry out routine maintenance during production.Perform simple or routine setups where fixtures and tooling are already prepared.Notify machine setup personnel when complex tooling or machine adjustments are needed.Operate the computer console efficiently to ensure smooth production processes.Verify the quality of produced parts using simple measurement tools.

Essential Skills

Experience in brake, machine operation, and press setup.Familiarity with press brakes such as RG-50, RG-80, HRB, and FBD’s.Machine setup experience.CNC experience, particularly with a computer console.Ability to form parts based on work instructions, with a focus on sheet metal and metal fabrication.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High school education or equivalent specialized training, possibly obtained through vocational courses or on-the-job training.Minimum of one year of related experience or education.Capability to operate press brake and machine control for simple routine setups.Current knowledge or understanding of setup processes.

Work Environment

Our work environment is a dynamic sheet metal manufacturing shop with a focus on mechanical and electromechanical assembly. The Spokane facility, a growing and new site, will expand to over 60 team members. This is an excellent opportunity to join early in a small, dedicated team. Our facility includes welders, powder coaters, brake operators, and quality inspectors, creating a collaborative and industrious work atmosphere. The position requires the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.68/hr.
