**Job Title: Box Coater Technician** **Job Description** As a Box Coater Technician, you will operate and maintain optical coating machines, working in both clean room and non-clean room environments. You will be responsible for installing and removing optical components from coating equipment and handling solvents and chemical particles with proper PPE. You will also maintain equipment and replace coating hardware using tools like grinders, while manually and mechanically loading metal tooling. With mentorship, you will monitor coating parameters to ensure optimal performance. **Responsibilities** + Operate a large 6ftx6ft coating machine primarily, ensuring it functions correctly based on the run sheet. + Monitor a computer to ensure the machine operates properly. + Install and remove optical components from equipment. + Handle solvents and chemical particles using appropriate PPE. + Maintain and replace coating hardware using tools such as grinders. + Load metal tooling manually and mechanically. + Monitor and adjust coating parameters with guidance during the initial months. + Perform machine turnovers, which include disassembling and reassembling the machine using wrenches and screwdrivers. + Stay alert and attentive to detail, following the run list while the machine operates. **Essential Skills** + Average computer skills, including basic Word and internet navigation. + Comfortable wearing a full bunny suit, respirators, and Tyvek suit. + Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks. + Strong attention to detail and ability to stay focused for extended periods. + Willingness to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Leadership experience is beneficial. + Experience with large product assembly and knowledge of hand tools is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a work schedule that includes 3-4 day weekends every week, providing a balanced work-life rhythm.
