Job Description
The bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts using QuickBooks, processing invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable, preparing and submitting certified payroll for 5–10 employees, tracking job costs, and assisting with project financial reporting. The role also includes generating and analyzing financial reports for management, managing lien releases, ensuring compliance with project documentation, administering employee benefits, and assisting with onboarding and offboarding. Additionally, the bookkeeper will collaborate with project managers and vendors to ensure timely payments and accurate records, maintain organized records, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Utilization of Smart Sheet for project tracking and reporting and performing notary services as needed are also part of the job responsibilities.

The work environment consists of an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with flexible hours. For example, the current bookkeeper chooses to take Mondays off and work a little on Sunday. The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
