Job Description

We are seeking a skilled High Pressure Boiler Operator for both 3rd shift and 1st shift positions. The ideal candidates will be responsible for maintaining heating systems, high pressure boilers, and ensuring necessary chemical balance checks. Equipment maintenance ranges from 70,000 to 90,000 psi. Candidates will manage state inspections, including disassembling and reassembling boilers, and will be involved in filling and refilling hydraulic systems, changing filters, and maintaining compressors and boilers throughout the facility.

Responsibilities

Maintain heating systems and high-pressure boilersPerform necessary chemical balance checksEnsure equipment operates within 70,000 to 90,000 psiConduct state inspections, including disassembling and reassembling boilersFill and refill hydraulic systems and change filtersMaintain compressors and boilers inside the entire facilityPerform routine maintenance on equipmentMaintain working condition of all steam trapsAssist maintenance personnel as necessaryPerform minor repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipmentClean various heat exchanges and cooling towers

Essential Skills

Boiler Operator license is required for the boiler operator role3+ years of maintenance experience for the facilities roleAbility and willingness to obtain necessary licensingProficiency in blueprint readingExperience with water testing and chemical checksExperience in replacing air filtersHigh School Diploma or GED

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Work Environment

The work environment involves operating in a facility that produces canned goods such as Vienna Sausage, various Chili brands, and noodles. The positions have two openings with shifts from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. for the 1st shift and 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. for the 3rd shift, Monday to Friday. Candidates must be shift flexible, as there are three total boiler operators who collaborate to cover each other's PTO and vacation days. Expect to work 50 hours a week, including six days a week for three weeks each month, with Sundays off. Direct hire opportunities with a shift premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts are provided.
