Job Title: Operating Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Operating Engineer to join our team, working Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2 pm with a rotating on-call schedule. The role involves managing low pressure steam boilers, mechanical equipment, HVAC systems, and general maintenance within pharmaceutical buildings in Cambridge.

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain low pressure steam boilers.Perform general mechanical equipment maintenance.Engage in HVAC system management and repairs.Conduct general maintenance tasks as necessary, not limited to boiler operations.Troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on various systems.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of experience in a similar role.High level of mechanical skills.Proficiency in plumbing and facility maintenance.Experience with maintenance repair and low pressure systems.EPA Universal certification.2nd Fireman's License is Required

Additional Skills & Qualifications

3rd Engineer license is a bonus.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving abilities.Creative and detail-oriented.Team player.

The role is based in two large pharmaceutical buildings in Cambridge, equipped with two low pressure steam boilers. You will not be required to enter labs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
